In fact, laboratory tests have proven that HDPE can last up to 3-5 times longer than normal or fine grained steel pipe. HDPE has a very high resistance to abrasion and is known for its toughness and resistance to impacts. For these and many other reasons, HDPE pipe is by far the best solution when transporting water or slurry solutions such as fly ash.
