only butt fusion techniques are designed to prevent pipe pullout from
where they are anchored. They also act as a Water Stop.
Water Stops are manufactured using sheet stock attached to the outside of the pipe by extrusion welding. They are designed solely as a Water Stop and not to anchor pipe.
